Hello Kitty Sweatband

I really like knitting and I try to make things that are really cute and aren't just thinks like scarves and hats.

I have an etsy shop called Rachel's Woolies where I sell some of the things that I make.
One of my favourite things that I have knitted is this knitted hello kitty sweatband It's just so kawaii!
I love how simple it is yet it still looks like Hello Kitty. There is a cute little bow at the side too.
You could wear it as a sweatband or a hair band! It's the perfect accessory for any Kawaii girl or even a little girl that you know.

Grey Knitted Baby Blanket

Lots of people in my family have fallen pregnant, this means that I've had to become really busy with all my knitting!

I made a light grey blanket for my cousin who is expecting a little boy, It has a moss stitch edging and knit and purl squares to produce a basket weave type look.

I really like how the squares came out. I love that because of the sided of the squares slightly overlapping the blanket is really squishy and soft.

I think that the moss stitch edging really complements the whole thing, I might be a bit bias though as moss stitch is my favorite!

I made it a little larger than most baby blankets so that when the baby gets a bit older they will still be able to use it.

If you are interested in purchasing one of these i do have a Etsy store: Rachel's Woolies

Hand knitted Cardigan

I am a big fan of knitting and over the Christmas break I decided to make myself a cardigan.

The pattern that i used was this super cute pattern. I just loved the beautiful lace detail on it.

I officially finished it yesterday when i got round to sewing on the buttons and my lovely partner took some nice photographs of it for me.

I just love the colour that i picked out for it, the wool was called Lupin which made me fall in love with it even more.
I found the buttons from an old skirt that i got on sale but never actually wore, I like that they're all different.

The cute little lace pattern really adds to the charm of the whole thing.
Because it's a cropped cardigan it will be prefect for wearing over my summer dresses to make them last through until Autumn.
This is my first blog post so I'm sorry that it's not the greatest but i do hope to write more in the new year about many other things too.
